Evening chill

Just a reminder that evenings in California can get quite cool, even in the summer, so ladies, do bring a shawl or light sweater to stay warm!

Wedding Day Shuttle Schedule

Shuttle schedule from Healdsburg on the day of the wedding will be as follows:

2.20pm – Pick-up @ Hotel Healdsburg (on Matheson Street by valet parking)
2.20pm – Pick-up @ Best Western Dry Creek Inn

A few things to note:

  • Friends & family driving to Healdsburg the day-of:  Please park in the all-day parking areas we’ve indicated in a prior post and please take the Hotel Healdsburg shuttle.  We have assumed that only guests at the Best Western will be taking the BW Shuttle for allocation purposes
  • Friends & family staying in Central Healdsburg:  Most of you are walking distance from the Square, so just walk on over to the Hotel Healdsburg pick-up
  • Friends & family driving back home/not spending the night in wine country:  We will have an early shuttle leaving the venue at 8.15pm that will take you back to Hotel Healdsburg, in the case you’d like to get on the road and not get home too late
  • After-party:  There will be a shuttle going back and forth between the H2H and the Best Western until we decide we want to call it a night

Any other questions at all, please don’t hesitate to let us know.  The shuttles will only wait for 10 minutes at each stop, so please don’t be late!  We wouldn’t want you to miss the wedding.  ;)

In the worst case that you do miss the shuttle, please call Shannon Leahy at +1 415 608 1614.

Thursday drinks

For those of you already in Healdsburg on Thursday, we would love to see you for casual drinks at Bergamot Alley starting from 9.30pm.  Come by when you can, and we can’t wait to see all of you.

Healdsburg, CA 95448

Ladies shoes

Just a quick note that there will be gravel and grass you need to walk on at the wedding, so please plan your footwear accordingly!

Fastest route from SFO to Healdsburg during rush hour

If you are traveling between 4-6pm the day you arrive to get to Healdsburg, please take this route.  It will still be slow, but it will be faster than any other route your GPS guidance may give you.  If you are traveling off peak, feel free to go any route you like.

For your traveling pleasure, please do try to get up to Healdsburg outside of rush hour traffic if you can avoid it  - traffic getting across the Golden Gate Bridge can be horrendous, and around Novato/Petaluma on the 101 North as well.   A drive that is only supposed to take 1.5 hours can take up to 2-3 hours on a bad day.

SFO -> 380 West > 280 North > Golden Gate Bridge > 101 North > Central Healdsburg

For those of you traveling from Europe, or more precisely EU nationals who do not have a work or residence visa to travel to the United States, you will enter the country under a visa waiver program.  New regulation demands that you fill in the ESTA form, which is pretty easy and automatic, but needs to be done.

You can do so here:
https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/

Thanks!

Dietary constraints

For any practicing vegetarians or anyone with dietary constraints, please email me (samantha.wang@gmail.com) and let me (or our parents) know so that we can plan accordingly.  Thank you!

Public parking for those driving the day of

A handful of you will be driving up from SF to a shuttle pick-up spot (pick-up times and spots still TBA) – and I wanted to let you know where you can safely park your car all day.  Much of the parking directly on the Square is 3 hour only, so please be careful to park only in an all-day spot.

Here is a link of all Public Parking in Healdsburg, but to make it easier – here is a Google Map of all-day parking that will be closest and most convenient to the shuttle pick ups.

The three easiest options are:

  • Public parking lot behind Hotel Healdsburg
  • Street parking on Grove St and Vine St @ Matheson
  • Safeway Parking

This should be plenty for the few of you that are not staying overnight in Healdsburg, but if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Wedding day transportation

Transportation to the wedding venue will be coordinated via shuttle buses on the day of the wedding.  No private cars will be allowed at the venue, so please do not try to drive to the winery, you will be turned away.

We will post a more detailed shuttle schedule closer to the wedding date, but we will have shuttle pick-up points in Central Healdsburg (at the H2/Hotel Healdsburg) and also from the Best Western in Healdsburg around 230pm.

For those of you driving from San Francisco and the Bay Area the day of, please drive to the shuttle pick up point in Central Healdsburg and we will take care of everything else from there.

Childcare

For those of you traveling with children, you are more than welcome to bring them to the wedding.  We will have a small children’s table, and there will be a cottage on the grounds where they will be able to play, watch DVDs and tuck-in early.  We will have French-speaking childcare on the premises.

For those of you who’d like to hire a babysitter to watch your children in your hotel rooms (or rented homes) while you’re at the wedding (c. 2pm – 11pm Saturday 28 July), please let us know and we can also arrange for a babysitter to watch your youngsters for the duration of the wedding, so that you can enjoy the wedding child-free and spend some quality time with your loved one and us.

Please just let us know either way if you will be traveling with your children and which you prefer, and we’ll make arrangements accordingly.
